How to Feel Better and Lose Weight After Christmas and New Year’s Eve Excesses?
Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and others, are complicated dates to keep the body in shape. We usually leave exercise aside for a few days and although we do as possible to prevent gain weight, is very difficult to go not accumulating "special meals" that beyond making us fat or not, sometimes tiredness and a feeling of heaviness in the stomach.
A day of fasting can help us to feel better and to compensate for the Christmas excesses, I love to do from time to time, and although it may seem like a sacrifice, I take it me as a day of gift to pamper the body. Do you want to know more?
What we get with a day of fasting
The main benefit of fasting for a day (drinking only water or tea without sugar) is the cleansing of our body.
The liver can dedicate to eliminate toxins, at least in part, and give pause to the stomach will allow to rest of possible heavy digestions that we have had in recent days.
Also will push to eliminate fluids that we are holding, so that the sensation of swelling decreases and although this can be noted on the scale as a weight loss, you must surely be aware that we have lost only water.
This is very important to note that not to use fasting as a technique to lose weight, rather to restore balance to our body occasionally, part of a healthy diet.
Tips to a good fast
It is advisable to choose a day when we will be calm, without having to perform tasks that require a lot of effort, physical or mental, but I have to admit that I practice fasting day I am wide-awake and eager to do things, but prevention is better, if you still do not know how your body will respond.
We have provided hydrate thirsty, drinking well water or if we wanted to add some flavor, taking some tea without sugar.
If we make a day of fasting is best to consult first with our doctor, as if suffering an illness such as diabetes, kidney problems etc.
Although initially you can spend a little hungry (I usually spend less than normal days) we have to find ourselves in a good situation in general. If we notice dizziness, fatigue or any other unusual symptoms is better not to continue with the fast.
If you urge and you will see that as nice feeling of lightness and "cleaning" you notice the next day. Have you ever practiced fasting? How was the experience?
