In the late 2000s, the brand began to encounter financial difficulties. From 2005, the Versus line created for and by Donatella stops, joining the discretion of the line "Atelier" who left the podium. In 2008, the company is dangerously into the red, and Santo left the leadership to make way for Giangiacomo Ferraris. In 2009, a restructuring plan was announced, while the company employs 1,300 people.
