The fall / Winter 2012-2013 Balmain promises nice surprises. 

The shoot, directed by the talented Karim Sadli to whom we owe the beautiful countryside In Fursac, offers us a wave of nostalgia all in monochrome and saturated colors.

The action takes place in open country, on an airfield alone and asleep, the images are gilded by the sun of a summer day in its sunset. One can easily imagine an end of World War II, demonstrated the military portraits; replicas of those that might adorn the buffet of your grandmother. Old cuckoo cabins and antique motorcycles harmonize these outdated vintage photos where a young recruit, drill and temples razed to the wind, just to pose a serious air.

For this new season, from tap in Cavalliesques print that formed him, Olivier Rousteing deploy us a beautiful range of very marked pieces, at halfway between the legacy of his brilliant predecessor and that of Hedi Slimane for Dior man.

The jackets are key pieces of the catalog.

 And revive with the military style to the Parisian House. On the menu, thick dark woolen, embellished with frog closing, quilted coatings adorned with brass buttons, more cloth of wool coats worn on these if typical spindly silhouettes. The mandarin white shirt collar seems almost out of period film, with its heavy cotton fabric and its delicate Pearl buttons. The non- colors are everywhere, and only the glow of a slim crimson Decarnin comes to awaken all of this vintage lethargy,  , as a reference to the speckle of Hussars uniform.
