Givenchy Fall-Winter 2012/2013 Menswear- Paris Fashion Week

The fashion week in Paris is in full swing. From Wednesday, the designers presented their collections for next autumn-winter 2012/2013 and today we bring you a parade of Givenchy. One of the most anticipated by the great successes seasons. The place, a tent beneath the gold dome of the tomb of Napoleon, did not foresee that the designer had something special.

Ricardo Tisci seems to have forgotten, I hope that just this season, prints impossible. Revolutionized remember as past seasons with floral prints created digitally, which were the source of inspiration but this time, the designer uses his obsessions of childhood: the American flag and the Minotaur and calls her collection "American Dream" .

From his first obsession, the U.S. flag, Tisci collects and introduces key symbols in many of its outputs, which now talk in more detail. Meanwhile, the figure of the Minotaur, the designer uses hoops that the models wore on the nose, giving it some aggressiveness to look from the point of view of the impact. In the first stage of the parade took us to the “total blacks ". Coats, sweaters, pants, shirts and accessories were displayed in black. Personally, in first-out expected as one of the colorful creations to which we are accustomed, as a show that ultimately the designer knows it very well, but these were made to wait a bit. Already in these looks, we saw a nod to the flag, always respecting the color black.

He gradually introducing more elements of his source of inspiration and came the stars and stripes of the flag, he has changed color by combining black with orange (a tone that seems stronger than the tangerine tango). These forms, the stars, came around the neck, or vertical and horizontal lines. Like the stripes.

But not only the live Orange Givenchy proposal for Fall-winter 2012/2013, the blue also appeared in some outputs combined in the same way, with the black. Has combined to perfection in a runway as a proposal for tailoring, with fantastic costumes, as another sport, with the choice of jackets reminiscent of fashion, or even college sports uniforms, always keeping a common thread.

But if something cannot ignore is that if you want to be a boy next season Givenchy have to wear skirts. This is not something casual designer in Milan and now Paris are seeing a lot. This is where I find the paste, skirts abused and although the result was very good (difficult is that the models will look bad), is a difficult trend that I personally do not see myself wearing.

In recent departures, if the beginning was completely black with looks, here we found this shade of orange as absolute protagonist. It seems stretches of this color in fashion for another season.

In short, I found a collection with a distinct personality and story. I commend the work of Ricardo Tisci and his ability to reinvent itself each season. With rumors of the next Dior designer, many were betting on him, but I hope we keep giving away more seasons for Givenchy.
